Abies balsamea 'Nana'
Abies balsamea "Nana", called balsam fir in English, is a slow-growing dwarf conifer with a compact, round shape. The fine, soft needles are colored light green in the spring and dark green later in the season. The balsam fir flowers in May and June with inconspicuous red flowers followed later by small brown cones. Abies balsamea "Nana" likes a position in full sun and a slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained soil. Acanthus mollis is often called soft acanthus or spiny hogweed in Dutch. It is a semi-evergreen perennial with an upright shape and a clump-forming habit. Spiny Bear Claw has glossy deeply lobed, dark green feathery leaves with soft spines. From June to the end of August it blooms with upright clusters of white flowers with purple bracts. Achillea filip. 'Cloth Of Gold'
Achillea filipendulina "cloth of gold" is a large and vigorous evergreen yarrow hybrid with a bushy upright shape. The leaves are fern-like, light green and aromatic. It blooms from July to September with flat bright yellow flower umbels on flower stems up to 1m high. This leaf leaf prefers a position in full sun, in a well-permeable soil. It is very flexible in terms of soil type, but cannot tolerate heavy (wet) clay.
