Sarcococca hook. 'Humilis'
Sarcococca hookeriana humilis, also called flesh berry in Dutch, is an evergreen small shrub with a low, bushy and compact shape. The leaves are glossy, dark green, smooth-edged, pointed and elliptical in shape. Fleshberry blooms from December to March with small sweet-smelling creamy white flowers in small axillary umbels. A position in filtered sunlight or partial shade is recommended as a location, in full sun only possible with an always moist soil. Sarcococca is reasonably to hardy, can use a sheltered position, this plant does not require much pruning, is tolerant of sea wind and air pollution.
