Tellima grandiflora
Tellima grandiflora is called miter foliage in Dutch. It is an evergreen perennial with a ground-covering, clump-forming habit and attractive, heart-shaped, hairy, emerald-green leaves. The plant blooms from May to July with inconspicuous, yellow-green, delicately scented, bell-shaped flowers with pink eyelashes. Tellima grandiflora prefers a position in the shade or partial shade and a well-drained, slightly moist soil. The plant is hardy, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution, disease resistant and has a beautiful red-purple autumn color. This tellima is mainly used as a ground cover or undergrowth for shrubs and trees.
