Thelypteris palustris
Thelypteris palustris synonym dryopteris palustris is called swamp fern in Dutch. It is a rare, native, deciduous fern species that is particularly at home in peat bogs and moist forests. However, it is also a beautiful fern to apply along the pond edge. It has graceful, bipinnate, light green leaves. The fertile leaves are slightly thicker and longer than the sterile ones and have round spore boxes around the midrib and lateral veins. Thelypteris palustris prefers a position in partial shade, but can also handle full sun in good, permanently wet soil. It is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, does not suffer from diseases or vermin and can even tolerate slightly brackish water.

Bos vine is a wild clematis that grows on calcareous soil. The forest vine has greenish stems and twigs. Climbing stems grow three to 6 m in all directions every year. The glossy dark green leaves are 1 to 4 cm in size. The branched, thin stems on which the leaves sit are the same color as the leaf. The stems are sometimes gray frosted. The forest vine blooms in July/August with countless cream-coloured, small flowers that have a nice scent. They have four green cream-colored sepals. Hedera algeriensis 'Gloire de Marengo', called ivy in Dutch, is a large, evergreen shrub that can be used as a climber or ground cover. It has large grey-green, oval to triangular leaves with a creamy white margin and small fragrant yellow-green flowers in pendulous racemes.
