Alocasia Black Velvet is a real eye-catcher. The plant has beautiful thick leaves, ranging from dark green to black. The black leaves look velvety, hence the nickname "Black Velvet". As if these special leaves weren't enough, silver-white veins run over them, which provide a special drawing.

This eye-catcher is native to Asia and is nowadays popular as a houseplant. Its nickname is 'Skeleton Plant' and we can understand why. The clear veins resemble a skeleton.
